University of Pennsylvania (PENN) was founded in 1740 by Benjamin Franklin. It is privately owned university located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania which has proud history of intellectual rigor and ground-breaking innovation which dates back to the founder, Benjamin Franklin. The campus covers 302 acres land in which there are expansive college greens, recreational spaces, landmark architecture and twelve schools connected on a single campus.

University of Pennsylvania is among the best college in America. The university utilizes semester based calendar and has 12 schools in which four offer undergraduate studies and graduate studies while the other eight offer only graduate studies. It offers wide variety of curriculum and subjects which attracts all kinds of scholars from all around the world. According to the University, there are currently 10,406 full-time undergraduate students, 11,035 full-time graduate/professional students which includes 4,559 international students. Its 67.4 percent of classes have less than 20 students. To provide good education and improve the lives of individuals and communities around the world and help students with the study and research there are 4,555 faculty members in the university which makes the student-faculty ratio 5:1.  The deadline for the application to study in the University of Pennsylvania is January 1st. Its acceptance rate is 10.4 percent which is lot more compared to the same level universities.  

The university offers different facilities and services to the students like nonremedial tutoring, women’s center, day care, placement service, health service and health insurance. The university has its own operated housing. 54% of the students live in its operated housing.  The student satisfaction rate in the university is 97.8 percent.
