Johns Hopkins University

Johns Hopkins University founded in 1876 is a private institution.. For more than 135 years it’s running on the principle that by pursuing big ideas and sharing what we learn, we make the world a better place. The university is situated in Baltimore, Maryland and covers 140 acres land and the campus setting is urban. It is the first research university in America. It is one of the most reputed universities in the United States of America. 36 of the Hopkins researchers have earned Nobel Prizes also. The University doesn’t only focus on the local area, it reaches and works in nearly every corner of the world to conduct research, training and other activities.

Johns Hopkins University truly has a global perspective with campuses on three continents, students from around the world and researchers in every time zone. Johns Hopkins University has nine academic divisions which are as follows:

Among these nine schools Bloomberg School of Public Health is highly ranked, the university owns a hospital known as Johns Hopkins Hospital which is top ranked hospital in the United States. Other highly ranked schools are Whiting School of Engineering, School of Medicine, School of Nursing, School of Education, School of Advanced International Studies and the Peabody Institute for music and dance. The primary campus for undergraduates in Johns Hopkins is located in the neighborhood of Charles Village. The three other campuses have different graduate schools.

John Hopkins University has total enrollment of around 21000, in which there are around 6500 undergraduate students. About 52% of the students in Johns Hopkins live in college owned housing. The application deadline is January 1s, in fall 2104 only 15% applicants were accepted. Around 47 percent full time undergraduate students received need based or merit based scholarship at Johns Hopkins. University of Pennsylvania

University of Pennsylvania (PENN) was founded in 1740 by Benjamin Franklin. It is privately owned university located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania which has proud history of intellectual rigor and ground-breaking innovation which dates back to the founder, Benjamin Franklin. The campus covers 302 acres land in which there are expansive college greens, recreational spaces, landmark architecture and twelve schools connected on a single campus.

University of Pennsylvania is among the best college in America. Duke University

Duke University founded in 1838 is privately owned institution situated in Durham, North Carolina which has total area of 8709 acres. It is best known for its courses on liberal arts and engineering programs for undergraduates. It is listed under top ten universities in the United States. Its excellence in teaching through classroom and research and other activities enriches the minds of the scholars studying in Duke.

The Duke University offers education through 10 different schools and colleges. Most of them teach both undergraduate and graduate scholars. The Duke University has 8:1 student faculty ratio which is less comparing with other universities of same level. Out of 31523 applicants in 2014 duke only accepted 1721 students from which we can know that the students with the best minds can get admission in Duke.

The duke University also provides other facilities with education to the students to make students healthier and to help students study in relaxed environment. The different facilities are Medical Research, Athletics and Recreation, Residence Halls and Apartments. It also has Marine lab, Duke Forest, Golf Course, Gardens, etc.

The University of Chicago

The University of Chicago founded in 1890 is privately owned university. The University located in Chicago Illinois is culturally rich and ethnically diverse coeducational research university. It is one of the world's leading and influential education provider having top 10 positions in numerous rankings.
